1. Overview

Criccode respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. This page explains our policy for responding to claims of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and other applicable copyright laws.

2. How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content hosted on criccode.social infringes your copyright, please send a written DMCA takedown notice containing the following information:

  1. Your full legal name and contact information (address, telephone number, and email address).
  2. A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed (include registration details if available).
  3. A description of where the allegedly infringing material is located on the Site (provide specific URLs).
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, agent, or law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature (typed name is acceptable for electronic submissions).

3. What Happens After We Receive a Notice

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

  • Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.
  • Notify the user who posted the content that we have removed or disabled access to their content and provide them with a copy of the takedown notice.
  • Provide information about how the user may submit a counter-notice if they believe the content was removed mistakenly.

4. Counter-Notice Process

If you believe that your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice containing the following:

  1. Your name, address, and email address.
  2. A description of the material that was removed and its location before removal (provide URLs if possible).
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your district (or an appropriate jurisdiction) and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notice.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

Send counter-notices to: copyright@criccode.social. We will forward a copy of the counter-notice to the original claimant. If the claimant does not file a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the content.

5. Repeat Infringers

We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, accounts of users who are repeat infringers in accordance with the DMCA and our Terms of Service.

6. Copyright Owner Responsibilities

By submitting a DMCA notice, the copyright owner or their agent confirms that they are authorized to act on behalf of the owner and that the information in the notice is accurate. False claims may result in liability under applicable law.

7. Miscellaneous

  • This policy is intended to comply with the DMCA and other applicable laws; however, we may modify procedures to comply with local law where required.
  • We reserve the right to remove any content or terminate accounts for reasons beyond copyright infringement where warranted.
